Tasting Note: Vivid ruby red colour with evident garnet reflections deriving from the maturation process. The nose is intense and harmonious with a wide and complex bouquet with notes of black fruits, tobacco, cloves and leather. Excellent harmony and body enriched by a great persistence and an excellent acid vein. Best enjoyed at 18 to 20 °C after decanting for 1 hour.

Additional information: Carmignano is the smallest DOCG appellation in Tuscany. Riserva wines have to be aged 24 months in oak & 12 months in bottle.

Grand Duke of Tuscany named Carmignano as 1 of the 4 highest quality wine region of Italy in 1716 and Carmignano has been producing 'Super Tuscan' style wines since the 18th century.
